Job Description
The IT Assistant provides technical support to employees by installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting computer hardware and software, resolving network connectivity issues, assisting with system updates, and ensuring smooth operation of banking applications, all while adhering to bank policies, procedures and compliance regulations. They will assist the IT Supervisor in new product launches, product training, and internal projects.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Assist employees with IT related issues to include, but not limited to software, hardware and printer support.
- Creates and oversees external help desk ticket issues
- Participates in risk assessment activity and assists in performance of annual external IT audit.
- Assist with Vendor Management reviews.
- Lead/Assist with new projects/products.
- Stay abreast of advances in technology and discuss areas of opportunity with IT Supervisor
- Perform routine internal IT related audit functions
- Complete required job specific training and attend ongoing training sessions, as required.
- Thorough knowledge of all bank products and services
Qualifications
- Associates degree or relevant IT Support experience preferred
- Demonstrated ability to set up, maintain and troubleshoot computer hardware, networks and systems
- Ability to work independently and as a team
- Must be a self-starter and independent thinker with problem solving and technical research skills
- High degree of accuracy
- Ability to strategically plan and prioritize workload
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
