KC + SIU Carbondale: Agricultural Bachelor’s Pathways

Starting Fall 2026

Kaskaskia College and Southern Illinois University Carbondale have partnered to expand affordable, high-quality agricultural bachelor’s degree options for students in southern Illinois. Complete your general education at KC, then finish upper-division SIU coursework through a mix of in-person/hybrid classes at KC and online courses from SIU—so you can earn a four-year degree while staying local.

Kaskaskia College introduces Career Pathways, a unique digital tool aiding students in planning their educational journey toward their desired careers.

Prospective students select from 16 career clusters and KC programs aligned with their interests, receiving customized plans outlining required classes, job prospects, and transfer options to four-year institutions. High school students benefit from dual credit and summer classes, while all users gain insight into local job opportunities and affordability.

Accessible via the KC website or KC Connect app, Career Pathways caters to students, parents, and career changers alike.
