Job Description
Performs a wide range of duties and services, mainly at Breese Warehouse Location and occasionally other Gateway FS facilities. Primary responsibilities will be the professional application of anhydrous ammonia. Other duties shall include, but are not limited to, custom application of fertilizer, chemicals, and lime, maintenance of equipment, deliveries, and the handling of: seed, chemicals, fertilizer, and petroleum products.
? Perform quality custom application of anhydrous ammonia, chemicals, lime, and fertilizer through the effective operation of custom application machinery and equipment
? Assist in sales and marketing of all products.
? Unloading/loading and stacking of fertilizer, seed, feed, and chemical product and packaging.
? Operating equipment such as: forklift, loader, trucks, and custom application equipment.
? Handle, load, and deliver: Anhydrous Ammonia, dry fertilizer, chemicals, and other products
? Perform housekeeping and maintenance to all equipment, vehicles, buildings at the facilities.
? Work at various other locations as directed.
? Assist crop specialist with field inspections
Qualifications
High school diploma/GED or a one year minimum of related work experience.
? Basic computer skills and knowledge of JD and other application equipment systems
? Current CDL (will help achieve if needed), DOT Physical, and Drug Test
? Must be willing to work seasonally long hours and overtime when needed.
? Physical Demands:
o Must be able to work in all weather conditions.
o Must be able to sit, stand, walk, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, and/or crawl for various lengths of time.
o Must be able to lift a minimum of 50lbs.
